Screen every site against the logs drillers already filed.

Send a list of sites, 5 or 500. For each one we pull the nearest measured well and boring logs, show the range of depths to rock they record, and give it a foundation-risk tier. Where there aren’t enough logs nearby, we say so.

Built on 343,355 well and boring logs that reached rock, the same records behind our open Ground Truth bedrock data.

    Distance, reported depth to rock, and the public record each one comes from.

Foundation-risk tiers

Four answers, including “we can’t tell”

A screen is a compilation of measured records, not a prediction. Where logs exist nearby we show them: distance, depth and source. Where they don’t, the site is flagged rather than filled in with a model.

It’s a desk study, not a geotechnical investigation. It tells you where to look harder; borings and your engineer of record still come before design.

  • Driven pile OK

    Nearby logs consistently show rock deeper than the embedment you’re planning.

  • Predrill likely

    Some nearby logs show rock inside the embedment depth. Expect predrilling across part of the site.

  • Drilled pier likely

    Nearby logs consistently show shallow rock. Plan on drilled or socketed foundations.

  • Too few logs

    Not enough measured records nearby to call it. A ground check answers what the desk can’t.

How it runs

From a site list to a ranked screen

  1. Step 1: Send your list

    A KML, a CSV of coordinates or a list of addresses, plus the foundation type and embedment you’re planning, if you know them.

  2. Step 2: We compile the logs

    For each site, the measured well and boring logs within a set radius, checked for duplicates and bad depths.

  3. Step 3: You get the screen

    A spreadsheet with every site, its tier and the logs behind it, plus a short summary of the sites that need attention.

  4. Step 4: Check the ones that matter

    Where the screen is thin or the stakes are high, a ground check puts a measured depth at each foundation.
